The company has been a corporation in the State of California since October 3, 1977, and also holds California and Nevada contractor licenses. The corporate office is located at 1911 Mineral Court, Bakersfield, California and has been the home of Sierra School Equipment Company since 1988. The 13,500 square foot facility is home to our main office and central warehouse.
Sierra School Equipment Company has grown considerably over the years and today has 35 employees, including 13 sales representatives. Gregory R. McDermott serves as President and held various positions since 1978. Patrick G. McDermott serves as Vice-President and has served the company in the sales and operations since 1986. Michael G. McDermott has been with the company since 1982, also holding various positions, and is the current Chief Financial Officer.
